ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Mr. Cu Un Kay was born in Amoy, Forrklen, China in 1905. At the age of 12, he came to Manila to onboard a vessel. He started out as a cook for his uncle, who own a Cold storage in Echague. There, he met a German who later on taught him how to manufacture Ham and cold cuts.
After some time, Mr. Cu Un kay left the Cold Storage to setup his own business. He started out by experimenting and perfecting the production process using only aluminum cauldron (good for 3 to 4 pieces of ham) over 3 Adobe Stones, Mr Cu Un Kay concentrated on producing hams, especially the Bone-In-Chinese Ham for which is his business became known for.
